on thursday we played. More than usual

It was a fine day. We spent an enjoyable morning reading books about cats and dogs, out loud. MB couldn't help changing the words "The Little White Cat likes to eat fish for supper" into "The Little White Cat likes fish, sucker", in the voice of Mr T. This is because, in true home ed fashion, we like to blend whimsical stories with the A Team.

Then we moved onto PSHE, or is it PHSE, I'm not really sure....anyway, I know its grey areas that you bundle in together, or some thing. We played Happy Land. DD was the Police (she is always the Police - power crazed, that one.) She got all militant about double parked Scoop and Lofty - again we like to mix it up with a few of Bob's talking heavy machinery pals. There was an argument over a flower delivery truck's destination (seriously) and so it became UNhappy Land and a valuable lesson was learned about not upsetting the Police or you will come off worse.

Thus passed an interesting morning. Then, we went to a soft play area to meet up with other HE friends and get lots of disapproving stares from the skinny Yummy Mummy's because our big loud school aged children weren't supposed to be there (we kept them out of the baby and toddler areas, I promise) and, to make matters worse, we sat on the sofas which are not meant for bedraggled HE People. We are meant to sit on the high backed plastic table and chairs all-in-one and we guzzled on calorie filled caramel machiatto's with extra cream. You could see the horror on their faces.

Quite fun.
