One of the nice things about moving has been our new found proximity to those most valuable of playmates...cousins.
We now live close to thirteen of them. For my children this means nothing but good things. They are like siblings that you don't get to see all the time, which means when you do see each other it is fun and almost squabble free.
We are a boy dominated family, which means most get togethers occur outside or around a screen of some sort. The outside ones are my favourites though, because it is in those moments of wild, shouty children that I realise we are very much a Tribe these days.
Granted, you need eyes in the back of your head as there is always someone trying to something they maybe haven't thought through. In the example below, it is Lb, who is considering jumping into the ice filled stream.
But there are moments of hilarity and love shared between them. My favourite statement so far is from my four year old nephew:
"Even though you're English, I love you very much"
He himself is in fact three quarters English, but because he was born here in Scotland, that doesn't count :)
In other news, here is Od with pony....getting ready for the cross country they are doing in two short weeks....provided the snow goes in time.
