In this instance, it was three days of rain and a case of chicken pox.
It was so nice.
Nice doesn't do it justice - it was perfect, just what we needed.
It made us all aware of what interesting things there were to do under our very noses. Like...
Guinea Pig love. When you're spotty and a little bit sad, squeaking is very cheering.
Baking. Od is the Kid Baker - and a whole day of indoorsy was devoted to trying out not one, not two but three new recipes (and also learning to text on Mother's phone - to tell Daddy to bring home more eggs and marg because she had worked her way through them all.)
Cleaning - good for the house, good for the soul (and good for earning extra pennies towards the Lego Minifigure collection.) Yes that is Eb - his surfer locks are gone, "not for good but just for now." So he says.
Puppy love. Aaaaw. Look at that cuteness - he went from here to chewing up a plastic saucepan but let's forget that part. He posed well.
And eating chocolate - or in Shrek's case, rubbing it all over your face in a chocolatey, cakey sensory overload. Hey, it hides the spots. A little.
